Beyond prop firms

Futures & day trading tools

Compare tools for futures charting, historical market research and risk planning. Dee Anthony recommends TradingView and Edgeful; EVX’s free calculators and economic calendar help prop firm traders prepare for a session without confusing a research subscription with a funded account.

TradingView

Charting, watchlists and market analysis.

Explore TradingView

TradingView is one of the non-prop trading tools I use and recommend. It gives traders a place to analyze futures charts, follow markets and set alerts. It is a charting platform—not a prop firm or a funded account.

Charts & analysis

Study futures charts, mark levels and compare timeframes with drawing tools and indicators.

Price & indicator alerts

Set alerts for price levels or supported indicator conditions. Limits and features depend on your plan.

Watchlists

Keep the markets you follow together and monitor price changes without switching between individual charts.

Paper trading & Pine Script

Practice with simulated trades or build and backtest indicators and strategies. Simulations are not live results.

Check your futures data & broker connection

A paid TradingView plan does not automatically include real-time futures exchange data. Separate exchange fees may apply, and some feeds are delayed. Trading through TradingView also requires a supported broker; do not assume your prop account connects.

Edgeful

Historical setup statistics & market research.

Explore Edgeful

Edgeful is another tool I recommend for traders. It turns market data into reports for studying historical setups, including gap fills, opening-range breakouts and initial balance. Use it to research how patterns behaved under selected conditions—not as a promise of what the market will do next.

Historical reports

Research setup frequencies by ticker and conditions such as session, weekday and date range.

What’s In Play

Review a daily dashboard of setups relevant to current market conditions.

Market screener

Scan tickers across selected reports and use calculated session bias as one research input.

TradingView indicators

Plot selected levels and session information on charts with Edgeful’s indicator library.

Historical statistics are not a trading guarantee

Check the contract, session, filters, date range and sample size behind each report. Historical frequencies are not a complete strategy backtest accounting for fills, slippage, commissions and risk. Confirm supported markets, plan features and any TradingView requirements before subscribing.
