Prop Firm Reset vs New Account: Which Is Cheaper?

How to compare a reset fee against a discounted new evaluation, and the billing details to check before you click either one.

Compare the actual prices on the day

A reset restarts your current evaluation. A new account starts fresh. During big sales a brand-new discounted account can cost less than a reset, so check both prices before you pay.

Do the simple math

Hypothetical: reset costs $80, a new account is $150 but 80% off with a code, so $30. The new account is $50 cheaper. Without a sale, the reset may win. Always compare after codes are applied.

Watch recurring billing

Many evaluations renew monthly until cancelled. If you buy a new account, cancel the old one's renewal so you don't pay for both.

Don't reset straight after a loss

Resetting immediately after a breach often leads to the same mistake. Take a day, review what broke the rule, then decide.
